Here are or top ten “Gotta Haves” from this weekend’s Mecum Auction in Austin, Texas.
Lot S28: 1971 Chevrolet Corvette
I love the green, I love the big block and the 4-speed. The power steering and air are just extra kickers. Maybe not the fastest big block Corvette ever made, but this would be a heck of a nice driver!
Lot S38.1: 1970 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda
The chances to own a Hemi ‘Cuda are getting less and less these days, the chances to own an unrestored, low mile Hemi ‘Cuda? Impossible! This car will fetch big money. Aside from everything mentioned, this car is a rare color too, the beautiful Jamaican Blue.
Lot S112.1: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window
Lot S35: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window
As much as I love a split window, its never really been a bucket list car for me, my dad had one years ago so I kinda checked it off the list. But both of these cars grabbed my attention. The first one, because its that classic silver that I so often see a split window pictured in. I love the original hub caps, its just got that classic Vette look. The second one grabbed my attention for just the opposite, that custom color, its different from the norm and beautiful. If you end up with either one of these Vette’s, its gonna be a good weekend in Austin!
Lot S137: 1963 Chevrolet Impala
While I’m not normally a huge fan of the 63 Chevrolet passenger cars, all the power options with the 409 drew me to this car. Rare options, black exterior, red interior, someone had a good eye when they checked the order boxes on this one!
Lot S94: 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod
Who doesn’t love a resto-mod Vette? This ’56 is as clean as they come. It looks basically stock on the outside, but its anything but stock on the inside!
Lot S118.1 1970 Dodge Challenger
I remember years ago shortly after the Viper came out seeing a Challenger swapped with a Viper V10 at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach, I thought it was an awesome idea ever since, you just don’t see it done nearly enough!
Lot S116: 1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1
The Lt1 Vette’s are THE VETTE to have in my opinion. The ultra rare 72 version with factory air are even better!
Lot F58: 1965 Ford Mustang Restomod
While the title says restomod, Im not really sure how much that applies. What it is though is a tough looking little coupe with enough creature comforts to make it fun, but not take away the muscle car feel or look.
Lot F239: 1969 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
Original patina on a C10? Need I say more? I mean? Really? This thing is out of this world awesome!
