I wanted to take a second to share this story and say that our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends involved in all this, the hot rod community is a tight group and its always sad to loose one of our own. BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — One person died on Thursday after a rollover wreck on I-40 near the I-26 interchange.
Two people were taken to the hospital from the scene, and Donald Frye, 68, later died from his injuries at the hospital.
The rollover wreck on I-40 westbound near mile marker 46 backed up traffic for more than an hour around 11:30 a.m.
The Asheville Police Department will continue to investigate.
