After almost of year wait, finally the Hot Rod Power Tour is here! Okay, it actually starts tomorrow, but still! We are here in Charlotte, providing event coverage during the first three stops of the tour and without further wait, welcome to day one!
Before I could hit the road, it was time for some fresh oil in the 5.0
Besides oil, you have to have gas, the first stop for gas was right in town, Clayton, GA.
Trip meter reset, time to roll!
Ugh, traffic already, my short cut to I-85 turned into lots of road construction.

Parking lot is already getting full!!
After checking into the room, it was time to meet by bud Troy in his Shelby and get registered up!
After registration it was off to Twin Peaks for a little lunch!
After getting our grub on it was off to Hotchkis Suspension for their kick off party.

Had the honor of meeting NASCAR Champion, Bobby Allison.
Then we made the short drive up the road to Boosted Performance to check out their shop!
From there it was back to the motel to cruise the parking lots. What a great time. I’ve met people from Minnesota, Arizona, New Jersey and who knows where else tonight, everyone so nice, THIS is Hot Rod Power Tour!
