When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade! 50th or BUST!!!!!!!!

Monday morning I decided to drive my Mustang to work to with me to detail the inside to get ready for the 50th Mustang Anniversary show in Charlotte this weekend. Normally I don’t drive it to work and always park it at the very end of parking lots, I enjoy the car, but I try and take the best care I can of it. Anyway, about 9:00 I was in the office, when I here this woman who had just left the store come back in and say, “Can one of you go outside with me, I think I hit this car backing out.” Now, knowing that my two employees both drive trucks and both the company vehicles are trucks, that my odds weren’t very good. So I walk out of the office and sure enough, she had backed into my car. It could have been a lot worse, but it was still pretty bad. So we called the cops, did that whole thing and of course I have to wait two days for a police report before I can even call insurance. So no way to even start the process of repairing the car and the 50th is three days away. My first immediate thought was, I’m not going, forget it. Then I thought, I guess I could take one of my foxbodies, or maybe borrow my dad’s Shelby, no, forget it, I’m not going. How could this happen? Especially this week? But after I calmed down a little bit and with the coaxing of my Southeastern Foxbody brothers I decided you know what, screw it, I’m taking the car. Here is the damage that was done.

It doesn’t look like much, but my first estimate today was over $1600.

So after deciding to go, I knew I had to do something to tell the story, I couldn’t stand the thought of people seeing the car and thinking, “Poor car, man does he mistreat that thing!” Plus the site of it made my stomach turn. So after some thought, here is what I came up with.

Sometimes, when life gives you lemons, you’ve just gotta make up a fresh batch of lemonade!!
