6th Annual JDRF Charity Car Show Clayton, GA

Each year I go to and cover a lot of car shows but none of them are as near and dear to my heart as my very own charity car show I hold each year. This was the 6th year of my show and by far our biggest! The new location was awesome(special thanks to John Bradshaw and the City Of Clayton for making it possible!), plenty of shade and plenty of room. Which we needed! 108 cars registered, and over 130 on the show grounds! What an awesome, awesome turnout! I cannot thank everyone who attended enough! Also a special thanks to everyone who helped park, register, take money, with food, and judge, I couldn’t do it without you all!
We are still doing the final math but it looks like we have raised just shy of 3,000 dollars in 2012!!! That is going to put us just shy of 18,000 dollars over six years! But enough chit chat, lets look and some of the awesome cars that came out!!

Here are a few of the award winners.
Best Paint

Best Rat Rod

Best Engine

Best Mopar

Best GM

Best Ford

Best Import

S&S Auto Parts Pick

Advance Auto Parts Pick

Best Truck

Best Late Model (1992 and up)

Most Original

Best Modified

A new award we started this year was the Kid’s Choice Award, it was sponsored by Summit Racing Equipment.

I cannot for the life of me remember which vehicle won which award but one of these was the Participant’s Choice and the other was the People’s Choice.

And finally, the 2012 Best Of Show

This was an extremely hard field to judge. Top 25 was VERY close. There were alot of nice cars that went home without an award this year that really deserved one. In fact EVERY SINGLE car that came out deserved an award for helping us raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!!!!!

Also a big shout out to Bobby Wallace for providing us with a few hours of awesome country music. Somehow I failed to get a picture of Bobby in action but do yourself a favor and check him out online!
